Hi All!
My name is Terri and I will be taking over the blog for the next month. I recently graduated with my Masters of Science from Adelphi University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. My externship experience includes work at a skilled nursing facility, elementary school, and the Head Injury Association. Suffolk Speech and Myofunctional Therapy is a dedicated organization focused on helping individuals with speech and language impairments. We specialize in the treatment and correction of the following areas: • Language Disorders • Memory & Auditory • Processing Difficulties • Fluency • Voice Disorders • Motor Planning Disorders • Deviate Swallowing which Contributes to Orthodontic, Pedodontic and Periodontic Problems • Tongue Thrust • Feeding & Swallowing Problems / Aversions • Thumb & Finger Sucking • Articulation Disorders • Oral Facial Muscle Weakness.
