What Is Voice Therapy?
Voice therapy is a specialized form of treatment provided by a highly trained and qualified speech pathologist to treat individuals who suffer from a voice disturbance.

- Vocal fatigue
- Poor pitch quality
- Difficulties with intonation or prosody
- Vocal cord dysfunction

Purpose of Voice Therapy
Voice therapy is designed to improve overall vocal quality, strength, and function. Before an individual engages in a voice evaluation with a trained speech pathologist, they must be evaluated by an ENT to rule out any vocal cord pathology. An ENT must also provide a prescription for the evaluation and treatment, which will be presented to the speech pathologist.
