What is Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)

Children with CAPD have difficulty understnaind auditory information. They do not however have hearing loss. CHildren with CAPD have difficulty processing information in background noise. They can often appear as being easily distracted and unfocused.
CAPD can often be misdiagnosed as ADHD or a Learning Disability. Thus accurate evaluation is important. In order for treatment to be effective.
